Getting to Casa das Oliveiras from Silves by car

a) Leave Silves in the direction of Lagoa. After going through the tunnel, take the first exit, following the signs to the station (Estação). At the roundabout, take the first exit, signposted to Silves. Continue along this road for 600 metres, when you come to another roundabout. Turn right (signposted to Estação). Go over the level crossing at Silves railway station and turn immediately left.

b) Follow this road, passing a big Alicoop cash and carry on your right. After 2.5 kilometres, you reach a junction where the tar road turns sharply to the right and gravel roads go straight on and to the left. Go onto the gravel road which is straight ahead of you, with a new house on your left. Signpost to "Casa das Oliveiras" pointing straight on. (If you see lots of hot houses on your left, or if you cross the motorway, you have gone too far).

c) Continue along the gravel road for 1.5 kilometres until the road descends and reaches an irrigation canal. Turn left before the canal, immediately after a house called "Casa Viana". Signpost to "Casa das Oliveiras" pointing left. "Casa das Oliveiras" is 200m up this gravel road on the right.
